Herro!

Ok, So I realise that I didn't post all of the studio videos, I didn't post any links to the demo clips we put up and I generally didn't do anything I should've done. My bad! We learn our lessons... lets move on.

The studio was epic, really fuckin enjoyed it. I had an amazing time and I think I can safely say that everyone else did too. The music was great, the banter was superb, we got drunk, we ate at silly times, we had a brilliant week.

Note: Drinking a pint of wine with a curry at 5am is recommended... especially if you've had a bad night!

We'll be going back for sure. We've started writing some new songs as we realise we've been very very lazy this past while. There's about 2 or 3 new song ideas kicking around just now that we've come up with in the past two weeks. Shit... I should make my dinner... erm, moving on.

We're almost ready to rock out with an upgraded recording setup. I've turned my spare room into a mini home studio, which should be ready to rock n roll by this time next week. Just waiting on a couple of pieces of hardware to arrive.

I'll update some more news soon.

Still gotta report on a couple of gigs we've played with Twin Atlantic and Yashin.

We've got some recording and gigs etc coming up, so thought I'd post about them right here... it's how things should/might work out.

2nd March - Birthday + Studio: Stevie 24. James and Darren head to the studio.

3rd March - Studio: Darren records drums. Ally and Stevenage arrive at the studio.

4th March - Studio: James and Ally spend all day recording guitars. Super dooper!

5th March - Studio: Stevenage records bass and we lay down the vocals.

6th March - Studio + Gig: Have a listen to the tracks. Gig in Invergordon with Twin Atlantic

7th March - Studio: Mix tracks

20th March - Gig: Mad Hatters, Inverness with The Breech & TBC

30th March - Birthday: James 26

18th April - Gig: Skinandi's, Thurso with Yashin, No Exit Wound and He Slept on 57


Darren is currently working on Astronot TV which will be a studio blog from day-to-day. We'll probably upload to YouTube and link around the place from there. I'll post the videos up here as well.

First Of The Year...

Hello all!

A belated Santmas and New Year! Hope you got lots of stuff you didn't want or didn't need :) Thanks to everyone and anyone who made it along to either of the gigs we played over the festive period, was good to see people jumping around and having fun.

Just an update of some Astronot goings on.

We've finalised dates for the studio, still not decided on tracks, but we've got 6 weeks to decide. A demo of one of the potential tracks was recorded in the last week. It's sounding mighty fine so far. Ally was grand and was almost as fussy as me...

Hopefully gonna book some dates in March or April and some more venues around Scotland. I'll write soon
